AMICI UNITI FC vs UNION
SUN DEC 16, 2018 SoFive
This was no ordinary Sunday for Amici Uniti FC. They were to face the number 1 team in their group who has yet to let up a goal in their first two games.
The game started out pretty even with the players figuring each other out. It wasn’t too long before Union found the open space and utilized it to their advantage. They scored two quick goals before Team Amici made the appropriate adjustments.
Before the half ended Amici Uniti was only down 3-1 with the game still in arms reach.
Both teams turned it up a notch and the kids were distributing the ball nicely. Playing from behind is never easy but Amici Uniti never let up. They scored another goal but was still down by two. The clock wasn’t on their side and less and less options were becoming available to gain control of the situation.
The coaches were still pleased with the energy the players gave on the field but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to bring home the win. We try to emphasize to the children after each game that there is always something positive to take away and use that as knowledge to prepare for the following game coach Goldfinger said.
This upcoming game on Wednesday look to see the coaches come out with a different game plan and strategy.

AMICI UNITI FC vs Si
WED DEC 12, 2018 The Soccer Coliseum
Team Amici Uniti was back at the soccer coliseum this time playing on field D. They were matched up against Si The Soccer Coliseum’s own development team.
From the very first touch Amici Uniti dominated the game. The entire team of 6 children each played exceptionally well. Each child stepped up and played a role in this game. It was a true team effort and it was displayed nicely on the field. 5 of the 6 children each scored at least one goal.
Due to the nice lead Amici had they were able to rotate players and give everyone a fair amount of time on offense. This even allowed for 3 different goalie rotations which included Erik Casiano, Fher Rubiano and James Ciccarelli.
With very few mistakes Amici Uniti controlled most of the time possession on the opposing teams side of the field. The biggest take away from this game would have to be the growth these kids are displaying. For the first time this season they opened up, spread out, and passed the ball to the open man. They each showed great ball control and discipline.
Now Team Amici prepares for a tough match-up this Sunday against Union at SoFive.

AMICI UNITI FC vs GSA
SUN DEC 9, 2018 SoFive
It was 8am early Sunday morning and Amici Uniti was at SoFive ready to play against GSA. This would be the first time both teams would face each other.
Playing on main field #3 Amici lined up with all 5 of there starters. But this wasn’t going to be an easy battle for them since they had no subs.
From the start of the game this was a high intensity, physical game. Trying to stay focused and not run out of steam Amici finished the first half up 3-1.
The second half was a lot more diffcult for Amici as GSA started putting pressure on their defense. As time went on you could see that not having any subs really impacted the final game results. This was Amici’s game to lose since they were the better team on the field.
Both teams played phenomenal and had several shots on goal. You could see on all the kids faces they were exhausted playing 40 minutes straight without any break. Finally, the game came to an end and both teams were satisfied with a tie. Could Amici of won this game? Sure, Coach Rubiano said, but I’m okay with a 5-5 score. The kids played hard and never gave up and that’s all I ask for.
Stay tuned to Wednesday Dec. 12th as “AU” plays against World Class on the red turf.

SUN DEC 2, 2018 SoFive
Team Amici United is back again at the SoFive Meadowlands previously being played under the name Team USA.

TORPEDOES 16:52
The 5v5 Winter 2018 season is off and running. We have just completed an amazing tournament at the Teaneck Coliseum. As the winter grows longer, we remind all players that the 5v5 Presidents’ Day Metro Cup is right around the corner. December Kick-Off Tournaments is the Next Step for teams that want great competition, terrific venues and a chance to qualify for the 5v5 Live National Finals this January. Check out the Regional Final Location near you and we’ll see you and your team there.
Today, team Amici Uniti really shocked the youth soccer scene in Bergen County NJ. A brand new team compiled of local friends joined forces to be the single only U8 team to win all 4 group games at the Thanksgiving Shootout.
What really impressed the crowd of 1k attending fans and supporters was that every single player minus the Goalie Erik Casiano, each scored at least 1 goal. This doesn’t happen often, let alone in a U8 divison. These kids really worked hard and overcame several obstacles especially in game 2 being down 1 goal with only 1 substitute player to than score 3 unanswered goals to finally win the game.
Meeting the Torpedoes in the finals didn’t come as easy as we would have hoped for. Amici Uniti FC was down the entire game but never gave up. Each child battled till the final whistle to come up short in a final score of 5-2. But with confidence and determination we quickly regained focus and have already began preparation for our next opponent.
